What Is Live-In Care?
Live-in care involves a professionally trained carer who lives with you in your own home to provide full-time support whenever you need it. Live-in care is a wonderful, welcomed alternative to residential care. No upheaval, no disruption and allows you to be independent, stay close to friends, keep pets and maintain all your hobbies.
Live-in care typically includes assistance with dressing, washing, and supporting morning and night time routines, supervision of medication, helping with household tasks, cleaning, cooking, and companionship.
With live-in care, a compassionate Trinity carer will move into your home to provide you with round-the-clock assistance whenever you need it. Using our Matchcare Program, we carefully select a carer who will suit your personality and lifestyle, allowing you to develop a personal bond.

Why Choose Live-In Care Over a Residential Home?
We believe that heartfelt care at home is the best way to live a full life. Moving to a residential home or a nursing home can be very stressful and comes with many changes. We have outlined a few differences when comparing care homes vs live-in care.
| Live-in Care | Care Home |
|---|---|
| Stay in the comfort of your own home | Move to an unfamiliar environment |
| Works around your lifestyle and routine | Residential homes often have their own routines |
| No restrictions on when friends and family can visit | You may have to adhere to visiting hours |
| You’re in control of your diet and lifestyle choices | Care homes often have regulated meal times and a set menu |
| A dedicated carer who has been perfectly matched to your needs | Multiple carers work in shifts and rotate to provide care throughout the day and night |

About us and our carers
Each carer receives training that meets and exceeds the statutory standards of the Care Certificate. As an approved training centre, our specialist training has been designed to prepare our carers for all aspects of delivering professional, heartfelt care.
Our live-in service consists of an assessment at the home where care will be provided, where one of our Care Managers will assess your or your loved one’s needs and match you with a carer with relevant training and experience. They’ll move into your home to provide comprehensive care for as long as you need it, regularly reviewing your care plan to ensure it continues to meet your loved one’s needs and provides the right level of care and support, and that the carer has the skills and experience to meet your needs.
The length of time your matched carer stays will depend on whether the carer has any holidays booked, if they are coming from another placement, and how long you require live-in care. Most carers tend to work for several weeks before taking a break. When a carer is taking a break, we will source an alternative carer to care for you until your dedicated carer returns. We aim to maintain as much continuity as possible.
It is not uncommon for a live-in carer to be woken during the night to deliver care, and if this happens, the carer will duly support as needed. If regular waking occurs, we can also provide overnight care through another live-in carer or a visiting carer, ensuring you have reliable access to care throughout the day and night.
Our live-in care starts from £1,400 a week for those with very low needs. Our respite care costs £1,652 per week. Our minimum respite term is 1 week.
