Complex Care FAQs
Clients receiving complex care have substantial and ongoing healthcare needs as a result of chronic illness, disabilities or following hospital treatment.
At Trinity Homecare, we’re passionate about supporting at-home independence with self-managed live-in care to empower people to live life as they choose.
Live-in home care services will bring a caring companion into your life who will share your home and provide round the clock one-to-one support. Live-in home care offers the safety of a care home, whilst enabling you to maintain your lifestyle in your own home.
Under our self-managed live-in care service, we act as an introduction agency, introducing self-employed live-in carers who are directly managed by you for an agreed period of time.
Carers who are introduced to you by our self-managed service are self-employed and handle their own tax and National Insurance contributions. Trinity Homecare invoices you solely for an introduction fee.
You will be responsible for paying the live-in carer directly and providing them with ongoing information about routine and requirements. Each carer works for a defined period – usually for up to eight weeks – and then hands over to a replacement in accordance with a booking schedule managed by your Trinity care manager.
With our self-managed service, one of our team will carry out a telephone assessment and listen carefully to your needs so that we can get an insight into your requirements. We then use our specially designed MatchCare programme to introduce you to the right self-employed live-in carer for you.
Our MatchCare programme takes into account everything from your hobbies and interests to your favourite foods. We know how important it is to find someone who will fit seamlessly into your life and understands your individual needs and lifestyle.
Every carer that is introduced to you through Trinity Homecare will have been carefully selected and will have undergone our induction training programme before your care commences.
“Making a real difference to people’s lives is so rewarding. I feel I am helping people achieve independence and maintain dignity in their twilight years.” Charlotte – Live-in home care assistant
Benefits of our self-managed live-in home care service:
Is self-managed home care the right option?
We find this service tends to be used by people who are able to manage their own care and whose needs are more about companionship or smaller amounts of personal care. If you require more than this, our Trinity-managed live in home care plan may be more suitable.
Please note: Under our Self-managed live-in home care service, we are unable to influence care delivery or manage personal support plans. If you require us to do this, then please contact us about our Trinity-managed live-in home care service which may be more appropriate in your circumstances.
