At just 18 years old, fresh out of school and searching for direction, Danielle never imagined she would build a long-term, fulfilling career in care. After a short time working in retail, it quickly became clear that it wasn’t the right fit. What did feel right, however, was something much closer to home.
Having grown up with her nan, who had lived with her family since she was nine, Danielle had always been surrounded by care, compassion, and support. That close relationship shaped her perspective early on. Helping others, particularly the elderly and vulnerable, wasn’t just a job idea, it was something she genuinely cared about.
That’s what led her to Trinity.
Finding Her Feet
Like many people starting their first full-time role, those early days came with uncertainty. Adjusting to full-time work at a young age, while also learning the responsibilities of care, felt overwhelming at first.
“I wasn’t too sure at the beginning,” Danielle reflects. “There was a lot to take in.”
But that quickly changed.
Paired with an experienced and supportive carer, she was guided through the role step by step. Within just two weeks, Danielle’s confidence had grown, and she began to feel settled.
“I was comfortable and happy and I’ve not looked back since.”
Growing in Confidence and Career
Danielle’s journey with Trinity began in the Epsom area, before moving to the Worcester Park team, a transition that initially felt daunting.
“I didn’t know the clients or carers like I did before, so I was apprehensive.”
However, she soon settled in, building strong relationships and spending seven years working in Worcester Park as a carer. In 2024, Danielle took the next step in her career, becoming a Field-Based Supervisor, a role she now describes as a passion.
Over the years, Danielle has also invested in her professional development. She has completed Nescot courses to further strengthen her knowledge and skills and holds a Level 3 qualification in care. Alongside her day-to-day role, she has also supported the wider team by helping at recruitment fairs and coffee mornings, contributing to welcoming new carers and engaging with the community.
Reflecting on her journey over nearly 11 years, the transformation is clear:
“I’ve grown immensely. I started as a young adult who had never worked full time before. Now I’m confident in my role, supporting both clients and their families and I love what I do.”
Her approach is simple: go above and beyond, every time.

The Power of Support
A key part of Danielle’s development has been the support around her, especially from her care manager, Rebecca.
“We’ve worked together for around seven years. She’s been amazing, I couldn’t have done this role without her.”
Having a knowledgeable and supportive manager has made a lasting difference, helped Danielle build confidence and developed her skills over time.
Pride in Everyday Moments
For Danielle, pride doesn’t come from one single achievement, it’s found in the everyday impact of her work.
“Every day I feel proud. The thanks I get, the help I provide, it’s the best feeling knowing I’m there for people, however big or small the support is.”
A Role That’s Never the Same
No two days are alike in Danielle’s role and that’s exactly what she enjoys most.
Her days can include:
- Delivering hands-on care
- Conducting reviews and spot checks
- Visiting clients for welfare checks
- Liaising with families and healthcare professionals
- Responding to emergencies
“I enjoy that every day is different. If I’m needed, I’ll always do my best to be there, for both clients and carers.”
Balancing Work and Family
As a single parent to her eight-year-old daughter, Danielle knows first hand how challenging it can be to balance work and home life, especially during school holidays.
One moment that stood out was during summer 2025, when childcare became difficult while her mum was away.
“Trinity supported me by allowing my daughter to stay in the office while I worked. They treated her like part of the Trinity family.”
That experience reinforced something Danielle already felt:
“This isn’t just a workplace, it’s a support system.”
A Personal Connection to Care
Danielle’s connection to Trinity goes far beyond her role.
For nearly three years, Trinity cared for her nan, the same nan who had inspired her career in the first place.
“It was so special to see it from the other side, not just as a carer but as family.”
She recalls how involved and supported her family felt, and how meaningful it was to see familiar carers supporting her nan. Even Danielle’s daughter became part of those moments, helping in small ways and forming her own connections.
When her nan sadly passed away in 2021, Trinity’s support didn’t stop.
“They checked in on me weekly and supported me through a really difficult time.”
Looking Ahead
After more than a decade with Trinity, one thing is clear: this is more than a job for Danielle.
“Trinity isn’t just part of my life, it’s part of my family’s life too.”
Through her journey, Danielle has discovered her own resilience, compassion, and ability to lead. From an unsure 18-year-old to a confident supervisor, her story reflects what’s possible with the right support, passion and purpose.
And as she looks to the future, her focus remains the same:
To continue supporting clients and families, growing in her role and making a difference, every single day.
