Putting people at the heart of home care
Behind every successful home care service is careful coordination. From managing complex care schedules to welcoming new clients and ensuring established clients continue to receive consistent support, the role requires organisation, attention to detail and, above all, an understanding of the people behind every care plan.
Katie brings all of this together in her approach to her work. She is committed to making sure clients receive the right support at the right time, while maintaining continuity and quality as the branch continues to grow.
Her ability to balance the needs of new and existing clients is particularly valued, ensuring that growth remains firmly focused on delivering positive outcomes and high standards of care.
A leader who supports her team
Katie’s impact extends well beyond coordination. She plays an important role in supporting and developing the wider care team, particularly when new colleagues join the branch.
Through mentoring, guidance and constructive feedback, she helps new team members build their confidence and develop their knowledge. Her approachable nature means colleagues know they can turn to her for support, advice and practical solutions.
Katie also leads carer meetings, creating an environment where people feel able to contribute, ask questions and share their experiences. Her ability to build strong relationships has earned her the respect of colleagues and carers alike.
Making a difference every day
What stands out about Katie is her willingness to go the extra mile. Whether resolving a challenge, supporting a colleague or finding a way to improve the experience of a client, she consistently puts people at the centre of her decisions.
She is also an active contributor to branch discussions, bringing ideas and solutions that help the team continue to improve the service it provides.
Her nomination recognised the way she combines professionalism with genuine commitment, and how her work has a positive impact on clients, carers and colleagues alike.
