Trinity Homecare, a leading provider of outstanding-rated domiciliary and live-in care, has successfully piloted a groundbreaking AI-powered app developed by CareBrain.
This collaboration is a key step in making care more efficient, supporting carers and improving person-centred care. CareBrain’s AI-driven platform aims to free up carers’ time to focus on what matters most: building human connections and providing exceptional care.
The pilot: delivering real results
In January, Trinity Homecare trialled the CareBrain app over one week with four experienced carers. The app, a digital companion powered by AI, was designed to support carers in real-time by answering care-related questions, assisting with training and providing immediate access to vital care information.
The pilot results were very encouraging, showing significant improvements in operational efficiency and care delivery. Throughout the trial, carers posed numerous questions and CareBrain provided accurate answers nearly 100% of the time. This high level of reliability demonstrated that AI could be a valuable and trustworthy resource in supporting carers with their daily tasks.
Key findings:
- 100% of users found CareBrain useful and accurate – demonstrating the platform’s reliability as a critical support tool for carers.
- 75% of carers were trained in under 15 minutes – making onboarding quick and easy, and allowing carers to start benefiting from the app right away.
- Carers reported feeling more supported – with faster access to the answers they need, contributing to greater confidence in their role.
- Estimated time savings of 1.5 hours per week per manager – equating to a total of 9 hours saved across a standard team, freeing up time for more strategic tasks.
- Improved care delivery – by providing real-time access to care plans and up-to-date information, carers were able to offer more personalised, person-centred care.
- 100% of users found CareBrain easy to use and loved its friendly, professional tone.
- 100% of users said they would recommend CareBrain to others.
“We are always looking for ways to improve care and support for our team. This pilot with CareBrain highlighted how AI can make a real difference in helping our carers work more efficiently while maintaining the personal touch that is so important to the people we care for,” said Cameron Young, CEO of Trinity Homecare.
“The app enabled our carers to access critical information instantly, saving time and allowing them to focus on what they do best – providing compassionate, person-centred care.”
Fiona Lowry, Executive Chair of CareBrain, commented on the success of the pilot: “The results from the pilot have far exceeded our expectations, and the feedback we’ve received is invaluable. This is just the beginning of what AI can offer to the care sector, and we’re excited to continue working with Trinity Homecare to further develop the platform.”
The pilot not only demonstrated the effectiveness of the app in supporting carers but also provided valuable feedback for future development. Carers’ suggestions, including improved alert systems and enhanced team communications, are now being integrated into CareBrain’s roadmap for further updates.
